Objectives
A science lesson that introduces children to seed growth.
What You Need:
- styrofoam cups (6 or 8 ounce)
- rich top soil
- grass seed
- water (as needed)
What You Do:
- Begin by having each child decorate the styrofoam cup with a funny face.
- Then let each child plant their own cup of grass seed and water well.
- Store inside the classroom on a window ledge or where space is available.
- Water as needed.
- Each day let the children check to see if any "hair" has grown!
- When the hair is long enough (over the top) let the child take his/her cup home to give it a haircut!!
