ABOUT EMILY: AGE 8
by Anitra Redlefsen, M.S.
Emily’s love of art is evident in both how and what she crafts. She usually starts with an idea that she has had, and beginning to work, she will modify and enhance that idea using sound principles of art. We talk and go over theory and technique as we work; Emily listens well and applies information as we go along. She takes her time with her work, and likes to experiment with different materials and techniques. Emily is fun to be around because she has so many ideas and likes to see them materialize! I can’t wait to see her “art picture that can talk!”
Emily is 8 years old and is in the third grade. She enjoys going on bike rides, soccer, tennis, art, and stamp collecting.
This past summer, I mounted an exhibit for all of my summer students, Emily among them. The following is an interview that I had with Emily about this show.
