Objectives
To make a decorative snowflake while building eye-hand coordination.
What You Need:
meat skewers
any size file cards
glue (preferably hot - with adult supervision)
styrofoam peanuts
What You Do:
Cut 2" circles (2 per snowflake) from the file cards or other medium-weight paper.
Hot glue 6 meat skewers (with pointed ends out) onto one of the paper circles, evenly spaced. Skewers should meet in the middle of the circle.
Glue the other circle on top of the skewers and let dry completely. Regular glue can be used, but it would need to dry overnight.
Thread the peanuts onto each skewer, some going on horizontally and some vertically, forming a pattern. Put a little dab of glue at the end of the skewer before threading on the last peanut.
Hang your snowflake in a window or from the ceiling and enjoy the winter wonderland!
