WHAT YOU NEED:

• Clean, empty, clear 20 oz. drink bottle
• Play sand
• Funnel
• Trinkets

WHAT YOU DO:

1. Allow children to select treasures (trinkets) to put in their bottles. We have used large beads, pennies, pom-poms, sea shells, plastic toys, barrettes, etc.

2. Next, children fill bottle with sand using the funnel.

3. Put on cap. (I usually wrap cap around bottle with tape to ensure that the bottle cannot be re-opened.)

4. Then, children can hold and roll the bottle in their hands to "discover the hidden treasures".
