RAINBOW STEW

Skills/Objective:

Teach children that with primary colors they can make secondary colors

What You Need:

  • 1 cup corn starch
  • 1/3 cup sugar
  • 4 cup water
  • red, yellow, and blue food coloring
  • 1 medium sauce pan
  • 1 mixing spoon
  • ziploc® bags(sandwich size)

What You Do:

  1. Mix corn starch, water and sugar into the medium sauce pan until thick.

  2. Remove from heat and wait for it to cool

  3. Put the mixture into the bags half way

  4. Add one drop of each of the primary colors

  5. Have kids squish bags to make the different colors
