Jantje Blokhuis-Mulder has been making and creating art for nearly four decades.
In 1997, Jantje co-founded KinderArt.com, the largest collection of free art lessons on the Internet, along with her daughter.
She has many years experience teaching art to children at the PreK to Upper Elementary levels, including children with Special Needs.
Although she spent many of her early years in the industrial accounting
field, Jantje's first love was always art. Her specialty is pyrography...
the art of burning images into wood. It's an interest that began as a child
in The Netherlands where she watched the neighborhood blacksmith hone his
craft. Jantje's work reflects her seaside surroundings and her nation's
artistic heritage. She is proud to be a part of Jarea Art Studio, an
artist-run studio/gallery.
