Kids can make a cute Christmas elf using a pinecone

What You Need:
What You Do:

  1. Draw a tiny little face on the wooden ball, marble or stone. This will be the elf's head.
  2. Take a small piece of construction paper or felt, and make a cone that will fit snugly on the ball or stone. This will be the elf's hat. Glue the paper cone onto the ball.
  3. Glue the elf's head to the top of a pine cone.
  4. You can if you wish, paint the pine cone or dab some glue here and there and sprinkle glitter or add white or silver paint.
  5. Glue pipe cleaner arms and legs on the pine cone.
  6. Add a paper or felt scarf.

175 Easy to Do Christmas Crafts
by: Sharon Dunn Umnik
The crafts in this book are great. There are so many projects in this book that everyone is bound to find one they like. Some are so simple that they are almost ridiculus. Even if you do not think you are a crafty person you will find a craft you can do in this book. As a pre-school teacher I have used various crafts in this book as patterns for larger or more detailed class projects. This is a great buy at a good price.
