Bottle Cap Designs for Dot Day

In this lesson, students will celebrate Dot Day by tracing bottle caps to create a series of small circles on paper.
Each circle will become a mini canvas where students can experiment with patterns, colors, and designs, ranging from simple shapes and doodles, to intricate details.
As they fill their circles, students will practice fine motor skills, pattern-making, and imaginative thinking, while discovering how something as simple as a dot or circle can lead to endless artistic possibilities.
What You Need:
- Thick white drawing paper (Sulphite) cut into small squares or rectangles (6″ x 9″ or smaller)
- Black permanent markers (fine and wide tip)
- Bottle lids and caps for tracing
- Construction paper for frames (optional)
