Members of The KinderArt Club have been enjoying this PDF game so much I thought I would share it with the rest of our readers as well.
What You Need:
- Paper
- A die (one half of a set of dice) per group of children
- Pencil
- Markers, crayons, colored pencils, etc.
- Handout
What You Do:
Children roll the die five times.
First they draw the basket shape, then the basket weave, followed by the vegetables.
They can feel free to add more vegetables and fruit to the basket and they can add color using pencils crayons, crayons or markers.
This activity can be used with all ages and abilities.
Stress to your students that they do not need to make their basket and vegetable drawings EXACTLY as they appear on the activity sheet.
Encourage them to use the little illustrations as inspiration, rather than trying to duplicate what they see.
Students will really benefit if you are able to bring real baskets and vegetables into the art room for them to look at and observe.
Have fun!
