By combining glue, paint and corn meal, your students will be in for a wonderful textural surprise.

Objectives:
- To practice eye-hand coordination. The child will make designs with the white glue. Afterwards he/she will sprinkle powder paint and corn meal on top of it.
- To understand texture: The child will distinguish between smooth powder paint texture and corn meal texture.
- To practice observational skills: The child will observe that the white powder paint turns green when it is mixed with the glue.
What You Need:
- Nylon sheet or newspaper to cover the table.
- 2 glue sticks or popsicle sticks.
- 2 containers ( cups or small bowls) with white glue.
- 5 shakers with powder paint mixed with corn meal. ( each one of a different color)
- 1 can of hair spray.
- Construction paper. ( Required size thick paper)
What You Do:
- Set up the table for two children at a time.
- Cover the table with the nylon sheet.
- Tell the child to dip the glue stick or popsicle stick into the glue container and scoop some glue, then allow the child to drop this glue from the popsicle stick onto the construction paper by creating lines and circles.
- Encourage the child to fill the page as much as possible.
- Tell the child to use the shakers and sprinkle on the page, using the color that he/she chooses.
- Tell the child to spray his/her artwork with the spray.
