Kids can make fun painted designs, with a heart theme, using paint, fold and press techniques.
What You Need:
- Paper
- Tempera paint
- Paintbrushes
- Containers for water
- Newspapers or vinyl placemats
What You Do:
- Fold paper in half.
- Paint half a heart on one side of the paper.
- Fold paper closed again and press.
- The paint will mix and blend.
- Open the paper to reveal the designs.
- If you like, you can let the paint dry, outline the heart and do the process again — creating many hearts on the paper.
OR
- Fold paper in half.
- Draw half a heart on one side of the paper.
- Cut the heart out of the paper.
- Drop paint on one side of the heart.
- Fold paper closed again and press.
- The paint will mix and blend.
- Open the paper to reveal the designs.
