Quick-Dry Paint Recipe

Quick-Dry Paint Recipe
Print Friendly, PDF & Email

Sometimes having a quick dry paint comes in handy. Use it for pictures that dry very quickly and for paint that washes out of clothes.

By Kim Swanger

What You Need:

  • 1 cup liquid tempera paint
  • 1/4 cup liquid laundry starch
  • 2-3 Tbsp liquid dish washing or laundry detergent
  • Dilute with water to your satisfaction

What You Do:

Mix all ingredients thoroughly before painting.

You will be amazed at how quickly pictures dry when children use this mixture.

It really cuts down on the drips and makes pictures that are dry enough to put in backpacks in just a few minutes.
