Students can learn how to make poppies using egg cartons and paint.

What You Need:

  • an egg carton
  • scissors
  • red paint
  • a paintbrush
  • buttons (or construction paper)
  • glue

What You Do:

First, cut a cup from the egg carton.

Egg carton. Cut the egg carton.

Then, cut it so it is rounded.

Round the egg cup.

Next, cut little points to make four distinct “petals”.

Cut slots in the egg cup.

Round the petals off.

Poppy shapes

Paint the poppies red.

Paint the poppy shapes.

Embellish with black and yellow buttons (or construction paper) centers.
