These fun and colorful wreaths will brighten up any home or classroom during the holidays.

Depending on the size, these wreaths can be used to decorate trees, windows or doorways. We did this craft with Grade 4 students but it can easily be adapted for other grades. (Even adults will enjoy it!) Our wreaths were 8″ in diameter and the class time required was 1 hour.
What You Need:
- Cardboard
- Old puzzle pieces
- Glitter
- Ribbon
- Scissors
Prior to the Class:
- Cut rings out of the cardboard (one per child).
- Staple a small piece of ribbon onto one side of the ring. This will be used to hang the wreath.
- Cut small strips of ribbon (make each strip long enough to tie a bow).
During the Class:
- Each student receives a pre-cut cardboard ring, a handful of puzzle pieces, glue, glitter and two pieces of ribbon.
Each student should…
- Glue puzzle pieces onto the cardboard rings, making sure to overlap the pieces (covering every square inch of the cardboard).
- Dab some glue here and there on top of the puzzle pieces.
- Sprinkle glitter over the glue dabs.
- Shake the excess glitter off of the wreaths. (Tip: shake wreaths over a tray to catch the glitter.)
- Tie a bow using two pieces of ribbon. (The bow is then glued onto the front of the wreath.)
