The Art Book
The Art Book features a series of both directed, and open-ended art lessons that introduce lower elementary students to color, texture, pattern and more.
It was inspired by Maryanne Messier, a teacher from Janesville Wisconsin and the idea originally came from Mary Jo Paup who developed the book concept while working towards her Masters degree.
The beauty of this type of portfolio is that it starts in kindergarten and can follow students through their elementary years. As the child grows so do the books and the lessons.
